This trip is related to Depp‘s previous visit to Punta del Este, where he was invited by Rodríguez and his wife Verónica Lozano to the Yellow Rose ranch, where he also enjoyed polo matches.
The friendship between “Corcho” Rodríguez and Depp is said to have originated through a mutual friend, photographer Ross Halfin, famous for his portraits of rock stars. They met last year during the Rome and San Sebastián festivals, at the premiere of the film Modi, directed by Depp.
